"I have been studying the mighty men of King David and the Maccabee's who took the Temple back for the Lord and came against the darkness that sought to destroy Israel.
King David's men were called to support the King and their nation and the three leaders of the 37 warriors who fought with David, were :
Tahchemoite, chief of the warriors who name means wisdom or wise
he slew 800 men of the enemy in one battle; "a thousand can put a thousand to flight; and two can put ten thousand to fight!"
Eleazar: whose name means/whom God helped, God helped
Shammah: Jehovah is there, the existing One or Lord symbolic for earthly name of Jerusalem , indicating God has not abandoned Jerusalem, that it will be restored
They fought for the freedom of their nation and their King the King of all Kings and their God Almighty!
The Maccabees who revived and cleansed the Temple for the Lord God, fought and track down their persecutors they did not sit and wait any longer for themselves to be assulted but the Maccabees rose to the opportunity and knew their God was with them and pursued their enemy and won back the Temple and cleansed it which had been defiled by the wicked. We to need to pursue our enemy in prayer and speak the Word of God over this nation so God can intervene and save us from the wickedness that wants to kill us.
"No weapon formed against us shall prosper!" "Let them flow away as waters which run continually, When he bends his bow, Let his arrows be as if cut in pieces"
He frustrates the plans of schemers so their plans will not succeed!"
